Alliance with Shriners Hospital for Children

We just made an agreement in Cincinnati (USA) with Shriners Hospitals for Children, part of a network of 22 institutions specialized in the free care of burned children. This international alliance represents an immense opportunity for our children and additionally offers a transcendental support for the country’s medical field. The Shriners Hospital for Children is a world leader in burn care with advanced technology, research centers and a highly qualified medical team for this type of treatment.

Within the framework of the agreement, the INTI Foundation will be responsible for identifying the beneficiaries in Colombia, for all travel arrangements to the United States including the child and an accompanying adult, all logistical coordination, counseling and/or assistance in the processing of visas and passports, as well as financing for travel expenses.

This opens a door with new possibilities and hope for the burn-surviving children and their families. Benefiting too, are medical students, medical and healthcare personnel who, within the framework of the agreement, will also be able to make exchanges with Shriners Hospital to complement their training in procedures, treatments and technology related to burns.
